太阳报：苏格兰名宿、埃弗顿旧将麦克法登破产，债务超过250万镑

体育播报1月7日宣 《太阳报》报道，苏格兰足球传奇人物詹姆斯·麦克法登已宣告破产，债务超过250万英镑。

这位42岁的苏格兰名宿兼天空体育评论员，在债务飙升至259万4192英镑后申请了破产。因未能缴清大额税款，他被宣布破产，而七年前他刚刚勉强避免了破产。

麦克法登加入了其他前足球运动员的行列，包括前苏格兰队友巴里·弗格森和同为电视评论员的克里斯·萨顿，他们在职业生涯期间投资英国电影制作合伙企业后都遭遇了现金危机。

球员们曾获得税收优惠以向该行业投入资金，但英国税务海关总署后来裁定多项计划属于避税形式。

总部位于爱丁堡的破产专业机构Opus Restructuring的受托人保罗·杜尼斯现已被任命，试图追回麦克法登欠债权人的现金，但麦克法登已声明自己没有可用资产。

此前，国家机构“破产会计师”于上个月批准了他的破产申请。他的破产令列出了他的职业为评论员，并与一家名为“体育与媒体咨询有限公司”的企业有关联。其妻子吉莉安是该公司唯一董事，该公司最近账目显示资金为25796英镑。

Opus发言人表示：“我们可以确认，詹姆斯·麦克法登已在苏格兰自愿申请破产。”

“这是由于与2000年代初的历史房产和电影投资项目以及相关税务问题造成的损失所致，所有适当的法律程序正在遵循中。”

《太阳报》曾报道，麦克法登在2018年因未缴税款被英国税务海关总署告上法庭。汉密尔顿治安法庭获悉，他曾寻求一位家庭成员的帮助来偿还债务。

其他因电影项目欠税而破产的人包括前凯尔特人球星萨顿、达伦·杰克逊和拉布·道格拉斯，以及前邓迪联明星球员比利·麦金莱。前流浪者中场巴里·弗格森于2017年破产，债务为140万英镑。

麦克法登因其精彩的进球成为苏格兰队的英雄，包括2007年在巴黎对阵法国时那记惊人的30码外左脚射门，为苏格兰赢得了那场著名的2008年欧洲杯预选赛1-0胜利。

这位BBC分析师的职业生涯始于马瑟韦尔，随后埃弗顿队于2003年以125万英镑签下了他。据了解，他在英超联赛期间每周收入数万英镑。2008年他以500万英镑转会伯明翰，但于2011年重返埃弗顿。

此后他又两度效力马瑟韦尔，并在圣约翰斯通和女王公园短暂停留，于2018年退役。
